Horror movies are intended for only bad, violent, crazy people: Have you ever heard something similar to this before?
I am sorry but people tend to stereotype certain groups just because they act differently or see the world in a different light. I, personally, got fascinated and motivated to watch horror movies because that was the only thing that I could relate to. Now, don't prejudge me, I am not saying that I've had a very unhappy chilhood or anything. It's just that certain horror films capture the reality of this world in a deeper level. Let's be truthful to ourselves, we all love and crave for the things that are forbidden. Even if it hurts or is hard to get, we would still rather sacrifice being well all the time to get just a taste of that forbidden fruit. In short, that is how I became so addicted to horror movies; I wanted something out of the ordinary, something that only I could love for myself and by myself, that my parents were not going to force on me, something that made feel whole. And there it was one Friday night, they were playing "Friday the 13th" and I knew right there and then that I would always crave for more. I think I was only 13 when I had my first taste. What can I say, the horror effect just took my breath away. What about you? When was your first time?
